Delete your account

You can delete your Amiro account and the data associated with it in the app, or on this page if you no longer have the app.

In the app

  1. 1Open the Profile tab
  2. 2Tap ⚙ → Settings
  3. 3At the bottom, choose Delete account
  4. 4Confirm with the code we text you

Without the app

Enter the phone number linked to your account. We'll send a code to make sure it's you.

What we delete

  • Your profile: name, username, photo, bio, date of birth, interests and city.
  • Your phone number and free time.
  • Your meetup sign-ups and invites. Meetups you host are cancelled and attendees are notified.

What we keep and for how long

Messages in meetup chats
up to 6 months, shown as “Deleted user”
Reports and decisions on them
1 year, for community safety
Backups
erased within 30 days
Data required by law
as long as the law requires

Timing

Your account is deactivated as soon as you confirm, and your data is fully erased within 30 days. If you change your mind within 7 days, email support@amiroapp.com and we'll restore your account.
